Hi all. What a journey! So many models and so many considerations. Just when I thought I had found the brand and price for me (Kubota 4930 with loader and 9'Kubota hoe for $29,700) I hear about the ease of backhoe hookup and wild loader specs on the JD 4610. My ignorant opinion is that at this hp range, losing 4 hp to the Kubota is nothing compared to the benefit of ease of switching implements. I digress. I would be pushing my budget at the $29,700 (delivered to VT from NY with no sales tax) for the Kubota but got my first quote on the JD here in Taxachusetts at $31,772 before delivery and taxes (5%). So the question to the board is: Is there any hope of getting a JD 4610, Hydro, 460 loader and 48 hoe for under $30,000? Thanks for the help

I gave $23,300 for my JD 4610 4WD, with 460 loader, R4 tires, Folding ROPS, ehydro, arm rests, telescoping draft links, front and rear works lights, cruise control and brush guards for lights.

I would think you could add a hoe for around $5,000?

According to the JD website, the 48 hoe handles a 9" up to a 36" bucket.

Are you planning on using Deere or Kubota financing options? This is a question relating to the taxfree comments. ....

Thanks Billy. That sounds like a winner of a price. Our property (and delivery)is in Vermont and we are planning on buying in New Hampshire or New York. Where did you buy yours?

Mark on the financing question I think I will be using alternative financing but might want to consider the Deere or Kubota financing .... why do you ask? ....

If you live in a state that charges sales tax and buy in a state that does not, the lein is filed in your local courthouse and a report sent to your state of residence on what, if any, taxes were paid and who collected them.
I live in Nevada and bought a tractor in California. The CA dealer downloaded a NV sales contract from Kubota credit just like I would have gotten from the dealer down the street. ....
